WITH A WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMISED SOLUTIONS, SEKISUI ALVEO SUPPORTS ISOWA IN THE PRODUCTION OF HIGH-QUALITY POLYOLEFIN FOAMS FOR VARIOUS APPLICATIONS.

Sekisui Alveo specialises in the development, production and distribution of high-quality polyolefin foams and is therefore one of our most important supplier partners. With recognised expertise and strong capacities, Sekisui Alveo develops, produces and distributes high-quality polyolefin foams worldwide for a wide range of different applications. The thermoplastic foams from our supplier impress with their outstanding technical properties and optimum characteristics with regard to further processing.

As Europe's leading manufacturer and innovation driver in the field of foam technology, the company focuses on the needs of its customers for development leadership, quality and a complete range of services.

We benefit from customised solutions that are developed in close cooperation. The intensive co-operation that has lasted for more than three decades has now developed into a genuine partnership.

ISOWA is one of the customers that actively appreciates the diversity of Sekisui Alveo's product range. The purchasing portfolio includes a wide variety of material qualities from almost all product groups. From Alveolit, Alveolen and Alveocel to Alveosoft and Alveobloc. This is a speciality in this scope, from which our customers benefit considerably.

The answer to whether we favour one product group in particular is clearly no. Each product group has its strengths, which we bring to light for our customers in a customised and application-specific manner.

Alveolit is the original when it comes to a physically cross-linked, closed-cell polyolefin foam. It is produced in continuous sheets in a three-stage process; extrusion, cross-linking and vertical foaming.

We prefer to use TA 1500, TA 2000 and TA 3000 from this product group of particularly fine-cell foams with a smooth foamed skin in thicknesses of 0.16 to 8 mm for the production of adhesive tapes or die-cut parts for sealing, insulating and insulating both for construction applications and for demanding applications in vehicle interiors. The Alveolit quality is particularly suitable for these applications due to its outstanding performance with regard to the emission values of the foam.

The physically cross-linked polyolefin foams fulfil the VDA 278 limit values according to DBL 54.55 as well as the specifications for fogging and odour requirements for use in interior applications.

Alveolen, another physically cross-linked, closed-cell polyolefin foam, is the all-rounder among foams, characterised by its scratch-resistant surface and outstanding thermoplastic properties. We realise product solutions in thicknesses of 3 to 15 mm and even more with the help of special laminating and lamination processes.

The Alveosoft product group deserves a special mention. This foam is exceptionally soft, its cell structure regular, fine and partially open-cell. Alveosoft impresses with its outstanding airtightness with low compression, excellent thermal insulation properties and high ageing resistance. Many years ago, we played a key role in the development of this foam, which is available in thicknesses from 2.5 to 12 mm. We like to use it as a better solution than conventional moulded or impregnated PUR foams, as it is water-repellent without additional physical or chemical treatment thanks to its foam skin.
